RoHS Compliant Manufacturing: A Choice for Peace of Mind

What Is RoHS Compliance?

The RoHS, established by EU legislation in 2006, restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It requires that the concentrations of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) in homogeneous materials be below specified limits. Manufacturers and component suppliers must regularly review relevant materials and documentation to ensure consistent compliance with RoHS standards.

Certified by Authoritative Third-Party Testing

To ensure our products meet international RoHS compliant, HOTHMI has once again formally commissioned CTI (Centre Testing International)—a CNAS-accredited and internationally recognized authority—to conduct comprehensive environmental testing on our 2026 product lines, including LCDs, TFT display modules, and touch panels.

This round of testing covers all regulated substances, such as Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr (VI)), PBBs, PBDEs, and Phthalates (DBP/BBP/DEHP/DIBP). All tests were conducted strictly according to IEC 62321 international standards using high-precision instruments including ICP-OES, GC-MS, and UV-Vis.

The products fully comply with the concentration limits set by the RoHS 2.0 Directive (2011/65/EU and its amendment (EU) 2015/863). This achievement marks a new milestone for HOTHMI in the fields of green manufacturing and product safety.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

From R&D material selection to process control, HOTHMI adheres to manufacturing principles of “zero harmful additives” and “zero pollution residues.” By strictly excluding heavy metals, harmful flame retardants, and phthalates (environmental hormones), we minimize the potential impact on ecosystems and human health, ensuring full environmental traceability and reliable safety.

Each year, we commission authoritative third-party organizations (such as CTI and SGS) to conduct random inspections of our finished products. Thanks to these authoritative certifications and our stable quality, HOTHMI display modules and touch panels are widely used in smart terminals, industrial displays, consumer electronics, and automotive equipment. Our products not only meet international environmental standards like the EU RoHS but also clear the path for our customers’ cross-border trade and market access through our outstanding “Non-Detected” performance.

Choosing HOTHMI means choosing a partner dedicated to green compliance, reliable quality, long-term stability, and sustainable development. With “Eco-friendly Intelligent Manufacturing” as our core mission and technological innovation as our engine, we will continue to enhance product safety and environmental performance, working with global customers to build a low-carbon, safe, and sustainable electronics industry ecosystem.
