- Mechanical Strength: The module itself is only 2.08mm thick and made of glass, making it very fragile. During structural design, the weight must never be supported solely by the PCB or FPC. Precision positioning slots or support frames must be designed into the device housing to securely fix the edges of this bar type lcd (especially the long sides), avoiding bending stress on the screen after installation.
- FPC Routing Protection: After the FPC is led out from this bar type lcd, a minimum bending radius must be specified (typically at least 5-10 times its thickness) to avoid circuit breaks from right-angle folds. It is recommended to design a reinforcement plate or apply adhesive fixing near the FPC-to-mainboard connector to prevent tugging on the FPC root at the screen end during insertion and removal.
