A1: Direct connection is not recommended. While this module is an excellent Arduino LCD Module solution, its 8-bit parallel MCU interface requires 8 data lines and at least 5 control lines. The Arduino Uno has very limited available pins and insufficient RAM space. We recommend using it with pin-rich boards like the Arduino Mega 2560 or Arduino Due. Furthermore, the module operates at 3.3V. If connecting to a 5V Arduino board, you will need to add a level-shifting circuit (such as a logic level converter or resistor divider network) on the signal lines, or alternatively, use a dedicated SSD1963 Arduino Shield.

Q2: What is the typical operating voltage for this module, and how can the backlight brightness be adjusted?

A2: The module’s typical operating voltage is 3.3V±0.3V. The backlight driving conditions are internally optimized. The module’s LEDON pin can be used to turn the backlight on or off.
