Description
1.3 inch TFT LCD color display module 240X240 SPI lcd display
The TFT-H013A2QSIST3N10 is a 1.3-inch square TFT LCD module featuring a sharp 240×240 resolution. As a high-performance spi lcd display, it utilizes advanced IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology to deliver true full-viewing angles. Its ultra-slim design (only 1.95mm thick) and compact dimensions (26.0mm × 29.15mm) allow for seamless integration into space-constrained portable devices.
This module is equipped with ST7789H2 driver IC, adopts four-wire SPI interface, supports operating temperature range of -20℃ to 70℃ and storage temperature range of -30℃ to 80℃. Typical brightness of 350cd/m² and contrast make it a good partner for many industrial products. Moderate response time meets the needs of clear dynamic display.
This display is a version with FPC soft cable and does not contain a driver board. Developers can develop their own adaptive platforms according to the actual requirements of the product. This display supports common platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Engineers do not have development capabilities? It doesn’t matter. We also provide this product with a driver board model HTM-H013A2-SPI-A01. The driving method is simple and easy to operate.

Application Scenarios
- Smart Wearables & Portable Devices
In smartwatches, fitness trackers, and other wearables, this 1.3-inch spi lcd displayoffers an ideal form factor. The 240×240 resolution is perfect for clearly showing time, heart rate, and notifications. The IPS full viewing angles ensure excellent visual feedback from any angle when users raise their wrists.
- Industrial Instruments & Handheld Meters
This spi lcd displayis highly suitable for handheld thermometers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Its wide operating temperature range (-20~70℃) ensures stability in outdoor or industrial environments. Data is displayed clearly, and the square format efficiently utilizes interface space for waveforms or data matrices.
- Smart Home & IoT Panels
As smart homes become more common, devices like thermostats, smart switches, and smoke detectors now feature screens. This 1.3-inch square spi lcd display serves as an ideal human-machine interface, showing temperature, humidity, and air quality, while its modern square appearance offers a more distinctive design than traditional rectangular screens.
Technical Highlights
- Hardware Interface & Compatibility
The module connects via a 10-Pin FPC, with a clear pin definition. As a flexible spi lcd display, it simplifies design: the analog power (VCI) and I/O logic level (IOVCC) support a wide input range (typical 2.8V – 3.3V), compatible with most micro controller systems. It utilizes a standard 4-wire SPI interface, requiring only CS, SCK, SDA, and D/CX pins for communication, saving valuable GPIO resources. Furthermore, this robust spi lcd display features built-in ESD protection (Contact ±4KV, Air ±8KV), crucial for portable consumer electronics, enhancing production yield and outdoor reliability.
- Optical & Display Performance
IPS Full Viewing Angles:This spi lcd display overcomes the narrow viewing angles of traditional TN screens. The IPS technology ensures liquid crystals are aligned horizontally, making the display less susceptible to pressure marks and “water ripple” effects during touch interaction.
Contrast & Color:With a typical contrast ratio of 800:1 and color saturation (NTSC) of approximately 50%, this spi lcd display delivers vivid and accurate colors.
Response Time:The typical response time (Tr+Tf) of 30ms is sufficient for smooth video playback and dynamic data refresh needs.
FAQs about 1.3 Inch square tft display with 240×240
Q1: The interface is only SPI. Won’t the refresh rate be slow for this resolution?
A:For a 240×240 resolution, the speed of this spi lcd displayis proven to be smooth and sufficient.
While parallel interfaces are faster, they consume many pins. Although SPI is theoretically slower, the timing diagram (see datasheet page 9) shows the minimum write cycle clock period (TSCYCW) is only 66ns, meaning a theoretical clock frequency of over 15MHz. Developer cases online demonstrate that driving a similar IC (ST7789) with hardware SPI as an spi lcd display achieves a practical full-screen refresh rate of approximately 13.69 FPS, which is more than adequate for displaying menus, waveforms, and basic animations.
Q2: Is the FPC cable fragile? What are the design considerations?
A:The FPC is designed for durability, but proper bending radius is key.
This spi lcd display uses an FPC-10PIN connector. When integrating, follow standard design rules: if bending the FPC is necessary, maintain a bending radius greater than 1.5mm. Avoid bending at the connector root (leave at least 2mm clearance) and secure the FPC with tape. For applications requiring repeated connection or a more rugged setup, consider the carrier board version (e.g., HTM-H013A2-SPI-A01), which includes a driver board and pin headers for easier use with development boards like Arduino.
