Description
Product Introduction
This 2.1-inch Round Display is a high-end color LCD module integrating high pixel density, wide viewing angles. The model number is TFT-H021A04ZUIAX5G40, featuring a high resolution of 540(RGB) x 540 pixels. It adopts a normally black full-viewing-angle panel with vibrant colors, achieving NTSC 70% color gamut. The module integrates the AXS15260D driver chip and supports a 24-bit RGB interface.
In terms of structural design, the outer lens diameter is 71.25±0.2mm, the TFT active area (A/A) diameter is 53.136mm, and the total thickness is controlled at 3.16±0.3mm (including TFT + OCA + lens). The module operating voltage VCI is 3.2±0.3V. Under constant current testing, the backlight driving voltage Vf is 3.0±0.3V, the current If is 80mA, and the typical brightness reaches 500±100 cd/m². Additionally, this Round Display offers excellent temperature resistance, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C and a storage temperature range of -30°C to +80°C.

Pin Descriptions
This Round Display uses a standard 40-pin Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) interface with a 0.5mm pitch.

Interface Configuration
This 2.1-inch Round Display adopts a standard 24-bit RGB interface.
- What is a 24-bit RGB interface? It means that each of the three primary colors, Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B), is represented by 8 bits of digital signal. This allows the display to simultaneously present 2^8 × 2^8 × 2^8 = 16,777,216 colors (commonly known as 16.7 million colors or full color).
- Advantage: This universal interface transmits image data directly from the host controller (such as MCU, ARM, or FPGA) to the screen driver without delay, resulting in fast screen refresh rates and extremely smooth visuals, making it ideal for fluid dynamic UI transitions.
- Touch Interface: The touch function communicates via a dedicated I2C interface (TP-SCL, TP-SDA) and supports interrupt triggering (TP-INT), enabling accurate and sensitive recognition of user swiping and tapping actions.
Round Display Core Highlights
- Ultra-High Physical Resolution: Achieves 540×540 pixels within a compact 2.1-inch circular space, resulting in extremely high pixel density. Compared to common 480×480 resolutions for the same size, the image clarity is significantly improved, with no jagged edges on text.
- Touch and Display Integration: The integrated AXS15260D is a single chip that seamlessly combines display driving and touch control. This results in a narrower FPC cable and a thinner module assembly (only 3.16mm total thickness), reducing power consumption and greatly improving resistance to electromagnetic interference.
- Robust Industrial-Grade Temperature Resistance: With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C and a storage temperature range of -30°C to +80°C, this Round Display remains stable in extreme heat and cold, offering exceptional reliability.
Round Display Application Scenarios
- Smart Wearable Devices: High-end adult smartwatches, sports smart wristwatches, outdoor GPS tracking watches.
- High-End Smart Home and Appliances: Smart thermostats with screens, rotary microwave/oven status displays, smart speaker top interactive round screens.
- Liquid Cooling Systems: Personalized circular displays for water cooling blocks, highly popular in modern DIY computer builds, used for real-time CPU temperature monitoring, fan speed readings, or custom animated GIFs.
- Automotive and Two-Wheel Instrumentation: Round LCD dashboards for electric motorcycles, multifunctional rotary control sub-screens for car infotainment systems.

Round Display Technical Q&A
Q1: How do I calculate and control the installation space for this Round Display? What are its external dimensions?
A1: When designing the enclosure structure, pay attention to the following three core dimensions:
Lens maximum outer diameter: φ71.25 ± 0.2 mm. This is the size of the outermost glass layer.
TFT active area (A/A): φ53.136 mm. This is the circular area that actually illuminates and displays the image.
Total thickness: 3.16 ± 0.3 mm. This includes the bottom TFT layer, the middle OCA optical adhesive, and the top protective lens glass.
For design, the enclosure opening should be based on the active display area, while reserving a reasonable glue dispensing or mounting step for the 71.25mm outer glass.
Q2: Can I drive this Round Display directly if my host controller only has an SPI interface or MIPI interface?
A2: No, direct connection is not possible. The datasheet specifies that the LCM interface for this module is a 24-bit RGB interface. If your host controller (such as a low-cost microcontroller) only has an SPI interface, the SPI bandwidth is too low to drive a full-color Round Display at 540×540 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. If your host platform is high-performance but only provides a MIPI interface, you will need to add a dedicated MIPI-to-RGB bridge chip on your motherboard to enable proper driving of this Round Display.
